It is not common for families who live in the Crucitas neighborhood to go to church. Most of the kids in this neighborhood suffer from the effects of poverty while they live among drunks, drug addicts, and thieves.
The light of God shines in the darkest place, and we are reminded of that as the number of kids attending the church at Crucitas continues to increase.
This month, we are expecting more than 60 kids to attend the new kids service that will be hosted by the Crucitas youth group.
This Crucitas Kids Service will be held once a month, and of course it’s kids-only.
The service will be an opportunity for the kids to experience a worship service, like many of their parents attend, that they can understand and learn on their level.
The Crucitas youth will lead the kids in worship, teaching, and Bible memorization.
In Matthew 19:14, Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
We rejoice in the Lord at this group of children who are hungry for the word of God and excited about the love He has for them. We ask that you please join us in praying for this service, that many of these children will come to know the Lord and that He will receive all the glory.
