We just received some wonderful news- Larissa is improving! For the first time since she was admitted, Larissa was able to stand alone and even shower by herself. Her cough has subsided and her fever only comes sporadically. We are all so grateful to hear she is on the road to recovery. We give all glory to the Father!
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
On behalf of the POI Boys Orphanage we would also ask that you pray for Mary, house-mother to the 7 boys currently in our care. She has recently been diagnosed with dengue fever, a infectious disease carried by the mosquitoes of Central America. The disease can vary on its severity so we are praying that it quickly runs its course. Please pray for Edgardo, her husband, who is caring for the boys alone, as well.
It is always evident to us when God is working in the lives of the Honduran people because the spiritual warfare comes in heaps. So we ask that you also pray for the leaders of POI, that their hearts would not be discouraged, but joyful, knowing that God is at work in this city.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:28-29
