Last year, Emma and Sarah spent a week of their summer break experiencing a side of the world they had never seen before. They played with blind children, fed rice to dump-dwellers, and sat cross-legged on the floor as they painted with the “outcast” of Honduras. Even at a young age, the Lord transformed their hearts to be world-changers.
Today seven families from Presbyterian Day School will wake up early to catch their long-awaited flight to Tegucigalpa. They will quickly begin serving upon arrival at one of the neighborhoods in which POI exists.
Please be in prayer for the team as they lead a day of Bible school for the POI students, have a celebration at the Honduran school for the blind, serve in rehab shelters, and spend time at the orphanage for special needs children.
Pray that each individual will come with hearts to serve rather than to be served, to love the least of these, and to speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves.
Make sure to follow the trip using #servePOI on Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram, to receive prayer updates and pictures throughout the week. We are so thankful for each and every one of you.
