Yesterday Dr. Ivan (POI director) got a call from Pastor Carlos in Villa Nueva who informed us that POI Student, Yefri had lost his house due to the heavy storms.
He currently lives with his mother who is a fruit vendor, and his 3 sisters ages 16, 7 and 2.
Their house was made out of plaster and because of the heavy downpour the walls collapsed. The family is currently living with an aunt but we took pictures of their home and made a short video for you to see.
The cost of the repair is $2000 and this will cover a new foundation, walls, ceiling, electrical wiring, and floor improvements. Due to rainy season quickly approaching, it is crucial we make these repairs for Yefri and his family.
If you would like to contribute to Yefri’s home reconstruction, click here to give. Simply include “Yefri’s Home” in the Notes section of the payment form.
